Mrs. Sofia C. Flores, 84, died on Sunday, March 24, 2012. She was born on Jan. 9, 1928 in Austwell, Tx. to the late Benito and Concepcion Taylor Camacho. She married Ricardo Flores on Jan. 7, 1946 in Beeville, Tx. She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 pm on Monday, March 26, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am. on Tuesday, Mar. 27, at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Serving as pallbearers are Paul Perez, Jim Zuchowski, Joseph Soliz, Marcus Flores, Joe Richard Soliz, Peter Guevara and John Michael Flores. Honorary pallbearers are Daivd Garcia and Richie Flores.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Raul) Casarez and Ruby (Joe) Soliz both of Beeville; two daughters-in-law, Gloria (Robert) Flores of Beeville and Rose (Ruben) Flores of Victoria; three brothers, Mike Camacho, Martin (Salome) Camacho and David (Eva) Camacho all of Pt. Lavaca; three sisters, Anita (Miguel) Rivas of Beeville, Lena (Angel) Portilla of Marfa, Tx. and Clara (Leonard) Garcia of Pt. Lavaca; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Rose Guevara and two sons, Ruben Flores and Robert Flores.
