GEORGETOWN – Ysidro “Sid” Arismendez, IV, 36, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on September 29, 2023, in Austin, Texas. He was born on August 13, 1987, in Beeville, Texas. He was the beloved son of Ysidro DeLuna Arismendez III and Jolynn Ramirez Soliz.

     Sid held many important roles in his life, including that of a cherished husband, father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and grandson. He dedicated his time and passion to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) and had a keen interest in law enforcement and business. One of Sid’s most important attributes was his infectious laughter, which was capable of filling even the quietest room with joy. It was impossible not to join in and find yourself laughing along with him.

     Sid is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Anthony Arismendez; maternal great-grandparents, Benito, and Delfina Cantu and Damicio and Vienna Ramirez; his great aunt, Beatrice Cantu and paternal uncle, Edward Arismendez.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Gina Arismendez, and their children, Nyah Arismendez, Sid (Cinco) Arismendez, Brooklyn Arismendez, Savannah Hassett, Allie Hassett, and Christopher Hassett; parents, Ysidro DeLuna Arismendez III, Jolynn and Ernesto Soliz; two sisters, Krislynn (Joaquin) Mendoza, and Misti Arismendez; his brother, Eric (Margaret) Arismendez; three half-sisters, Kirsten Arismendez, Sydney Arismendez and Sofia Arismendez. He is also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and countless friends whose lives he touched.

     To honor the life of Ysidro “Sid” Arismendez IV, a visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Friday, Oct. 6, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with a rosary recited at 7 pm by Deacon Santos Jones. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 7, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. RJ Regalado as celebrant. Interment, with rendering of honors, will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers are Ernesto Soliz, Jr., Eric Arismendez Sr., Joaquin Mendoza, Joe Albert Ramirez, Alex Rangel, Robert Pontius, AC Carpentier, Travis Bradshaw, Ernesto Ruiz, JD Garza and Jordan Armstrong.

     Honorary pallbearers are Sid “Cinco” Arismendez V, Eric “Bubba” Arismendez Jr., Ezekiel Villegas, Antonio Cruces, Jr., Anton Cruces and Thomas Pfannstiel.
