Tomas Flores Delgado 12/29/1928-09/12/2021 Age 92 yrs.
Tomas Flores Delgado was born in Berclair Tx, to Sara & Jose Delgado, Jr. on
December 29,1928. He had two younger brothers that passed on while they were
young.
He grew up in Beeville,Tx and never moved, however he meet the love of his life
Consuelo (Connie) Delgado while in their teens, while he was working at the
American Café in downtown Beeville. They were married on January 9,1949.
Robert Delgado,Sr. was born later that year, and Richard Delgado,Sr. was born in
1963. They raised their family while working and enjoying their lives together.
Connie & Tomas were married for 68 years, and very rarely went out separately.
They were members of St. Joseph’s Church where they regularly attended.
Tomas worked for the Beeville Coca-Cola bottling company as a machine
operator for 30 years. He then went to work as truck driver in the street
department for the City Of Beeville for nearly 20 years. Finally, he worked for Bee
Quick Rapid Lube while enjoying his retirement.
He loved to watch & cheer the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros & Dallas
Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching westerns & sitting outside to feed the birds.
He loved to travel with Connie and visited Las Vegas,NV several times during his
wonderful life. Connie & Tomas would go dancing, attending weddings & parties.
He also loved to visit the Casinos in Texas & Louisiana where he enjoyed playing
poker, slots and throwing dice, and of course eating. He often would go shopping
with Connie in Corpus Christi & San Antonio while visiting family. He loved the
holiday’s visiting with his grandchildren and later his great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his two sons Robert Delgado,Sr. Richard Delgado,Sr.,(Linda
Delgado), his daughter-in-law. His six grandchildren(Robert Jr. & Devon; Desiree,
Richard Jr., Sara & Tomas Delgado). Four great-grandchildren( Reaghan &
Monroe; Elyanna & Alakai), while Connie preceded him in passing(2017), he
would often still eat out, talking about his long life & funny stories to his family
and to friends who, would stop by to visit him at his home where he remained
until his passing.
The Delgado family would like to thank the staff at Christus Spohn Beeville for
taking care of him during his short illness, the City Of Beeville where he had his
work family, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and his many friends & acquaintances.
