Sylvia Mata Perez

BEEVILLE – Sylvia Mata Perez, 62, passed away on Sept. 27, 2021. She was born on April 16, 1959 in Lamesa, Texas to Martelo and Maria (Lozano) Mata. She married Martin Perez on Feb. 14, 2014 in Beeville, Tx. She was a homemaker.

     She is survived by her husband, Martin Perez of Beeville; four sons, Michael and Johnny Oscar Villarreal both of Beeville, Cecilio Segura of California and Christopher Segura of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Priscilla (Sergio) Mata-Uribe of Jacksonville, Tx; sisters, Mary (Carlos Reveles) Colonge of Houston, Rebecca Blaker (Jesus M) Garcia of Beeville, Robbie Jimenez, Isabel “Chavela” Jimenez, Yolanda Jimenez (Nick) Tello, and Rosa Jimenez all of Lubbock, Tx; brothers, Ernest (Sonia) Alvarado of Beeville, Gustavo, Troy and Fidel Jimenez all of Lubbock. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Chapel services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, Oct. 6, with Rev. Ramiro Garza officiating. Burial will follow at Evangelico Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers are Martin Perez, Michael Villarreal, Yolanda Jimenez, Rosa Jimenez, Ricky Martinez, Roger Blaker III, Jesus M. Garcia, Aaron Shirley, Juan Chavez, Ricky Campos and Sergio Mata-Uribe.
