BEEVILLE – Steve G. Lara, 56, of Beeville, passed away on June 4, 2020 in Houston, Tx. He was born on Feb. 13, 1964 in Immokalee, Florida to Pablo S. and Carmen (Garza) Lara. He married Ana Maria Arrellano on May 18, 2018 in Beeville, Tx. He had worked most of his life as a painter.
He is survived by his wife, Ana Maria Lara of Beeville; one daughter, Carmen Guadalupe Lara of Beeville; step-daughter, Vanessa Mendez of Beeville; step-son, Alan Alberto Hernandez of Beeville; four brothers, Lazaro (Rosa) Lara of Beeville, Ruben (Rosa Maria) Lara of Elmendorf, Arthur (Sylvia) Lara of Lynchburg, VA and Jesse (Mary Kay) Lara of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Anita Salinas of Pearland and Maria (Vincent) Vandenberghe of Houston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 15, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A chapel service will follow at 2 pm with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Burial will follow at the San Fernando de Los Flores Cemetery in Goliad, Tx.
Serving as pallbearers are Alan Alberto Hernandez, Fidencio Lara, Paul Lara, Ruben Lara Jr, Pedro Rangel, Reynaldo Salinas, Ramiro Salinas and Roman Salinas.
Honorary pallbearers are Hector Lechuga Jr, Tony Lechuga and Danny Lara.
