Sara J. Pena was called home to heaven on May 31, 2026, at the age of 43. Sara was employed as a pre-kindergarten teacher for 11 years at St. Philip’s Episcopal School in Beeville, Texas. She loved supporting her girls’ extracurricular activities, reading, and watching lifetime movies. Sara was born on May 16, 1983, in Beeville, Texas to Antonio and Consuelo (Zavala) Pena. She was a graduate of A.C. Jones High School Class of 2001.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Pena; brother-in-law, Danny Segovia; two uncles, Juan Ochoa and Jose Zavala and aunt, Amelia Segura.

She is survived by her two daughters, Izabella Pardo and Avauney Gomez; her fiancé, Kris Gomez; two stepchildren, Kristoffer and Bressea Gomez; two sisters, Marsha Segovia and Angie Pena of Beeville and one brother, Tony Pena of Rochester, IN. She is also survived by her niece, Ashley Segovia; two nephews, John (Kaitlyn) Segovia and Justin Segovia and one great niece, Zoey Segovia all of Beeville and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Monday, June 8, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Salvador Rincon officiating. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 9, at Oak Park Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andrew T. Green officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are John Segovia, Kristoffer Gomez, Justin Segovia, Michael Segura, Aaron Lusk, and Artie Galvan.
