Sabas Longoria

POTEET – Sabas Longoria, 72, of Poteet, formerly of Beeville, passed away on March 7, 2022. He was born on September 28, 1949, in Beeville, Texas to Gilberto and Juanita (DeHoyos) Longoria. He had retired from the transportation industry as a truck driver.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Sabas DeHoyos Longoria, Jr.

He is survived by his companion, Manuela Rodriguez of Poteet, Tx; one daughter, Micaela Longoria of Corpus Christi, Tx; three step-sons, Alfredo Rodriguez of Poteet, Michael Rodriguez of Pleasanton and Sergio Rodriguez of Corpus Christi; two step-daughters, Lisa Rodriguez of San Antonio and Linda Rodriguez of Christine Texas; two sisters, Lydia Garcia of George West, Texas and Angelita (Reynaldo) Salazar of Mission, Texas; five grandchildren, Moses, Matthew, Daniel and Alma Longoria and Isaiah Carrasco. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Thursday, March 10, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, March 11, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Gonzales as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
