Ruben G. Garcia

BEEVILLE – Ruben G. Garcia, 72, passed away on April 3, 2024. He was born on March 18, 1952, in Beeville, Texas to the late Anselmo and Celia (Galvez) Garcia. He had retired from the oilfield industry.

     He is survived by his daughter, Celia Garcia of San Antonio; seven brothers, Anselmo Garcia, Jr of San Antonio, Freddy (Simona) Garcia of Brenham, Israel (Diana) Garcia of Ft. Worth, David (Marina) Garcia of San Antonio, Enoe Garcia, and Rene Garcia both of Goliad and Willie (Lupita) Garcia of Alvin; four sisters, Yolanda (Augustin) Garcia and Belinda Benavides both of Goliad, Sylvia Nieto of Taft, and Sandra Garcia of Beeville. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Bryan Stock, John Jacob Cohan and Jaylynn Rita Cohan and several nieces, and nephews.

     A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, April 5, at St. James Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville, Texas.

     Serving as pallbearers are Augustin Garcia, Jr., Israel Garcia, Jr., Dinicio Garcia, Willie Ramirez, Jr., Jose Luis Garcia, Jr. and Mariano Benavides, Jr.
