Rosita V. (Pena) Rodriguez

MATHIS – Rosita V. (Pena) Rodriguez, 65, passed away on April 30, 2024. She was born in Sinton, Texas on April 6, 1959, to Samuel and Maria Dolores (Martinez) Valdez. She had worked in the restaurant business as a cook.

     She was a strong, God-fearing woman, with a heart of gold. She was the rock and blessing of her family, and her grandkids meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel, and Maria Dolores Valdez; her husband, Andres Pena, Jr; one sister, Mary Jane Valdez Adams and one brother, Felix Valdez.

     She is survived by her children, Mary Pena, Raymond Pena, Andi (Wally) Flores and Sarah (Matthew, Sr.) Munoz. She is also survived by fourteen siblings and thirteen grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, at the Bonnie View Community Center in Woodsboro, Texas (355 FM 629, 78393).
