Mrs. Rosa M. Munoz, 95, passed away on May 27, 2025, at her residence in Bee County. She was born on February 21, 1930, in Lagarto, Texas to Preciliano and Maria (Ruiz) Martinez. Rosa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Maria and Preciliano Martinez; her husband, Ramon T. Munoz, Jr; four sisters, Olivia Borrego, Leonor Gonzales, Dora Garza and Celestina Gutierrez; three brothers, Ricardo, Guadalupe and Adan Martinez; her in-laws, Hortensia and Ramon Munoz, Sr. and a son-in-law, Briant Lane Brooks.
She is survived by three daughters, Yolanda (Ricardo) Mendez, Hortensia Brooks and Sylvia (Billy) Garza; her son, Mario (Leticia) Munoz; two sisters, Maria Bonham and Hope (Robert) Ashton; seven grandchildren, Avrian Mendez, Ricardo Mendez, Jr., Mario Anthony Munoz, Mia Brooks Saib, Monique Scheurich, Marissa Collier and Ismael Garza. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Sunday, June 1, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, June 2, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Fr. Isaias Estepa serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Avrian Mendez, Ricardo Mendez, Jr, Ismael Garza, Mario Anthony Munoz, Jacob Munoz and Lucas Munoz.
Honorary pallbearers are Chadin Sutton, Lincoln Fernandez, Christopher Mendez, Ava Mendez, Avriana Mendez and Lily Ann Jackowski.
