BEEVILLE – Rosa Salazar Camacho, also known as Rose or Papa, 63, passed away at her home, on Feb. 29, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born on November 12, 1960, in Beeville, Texas to Monseis and Gloria (Moreno) Salazar. She was employed at McDonald’s Restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Monseis and Gloria Salazar and two brothers, Monseis M. Salazar, Jr., and Adan M. Salazar.
She is survived by one son, Ryan (Sandra) Garza of Beeville; her daughter, Allie Camacho of Beeville; six grandchildren, Jaydence Garcia, Aleix Camacho, Jersee and Jeravani Gonzales, Jarilyn Garcia and Deborah Garza; four brothers, David (Gladys) Salazar of Alvin, Gerald (Nora) Salazar of Beeville, Armando (Rosalinda) Salazar of San Antonio and Alberto (Lucy) Salazar of Beeville; five sisters, Alma (Johnny) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Gloria Sylvia Salinas, Blanca (Daniel) Ramos, Linda (James) Hogue and Sandra (Joel) Castaneda all of Beeville; two sisters-in-law, Diana Salazar and Norma Camacho. She is also survived by her companion, Bryan Widner and special friends, Leti Medcalf, Carol Perez, and Ruby Garza.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, March 5, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm followed with the eulogy by her nephew, Joseph Salazar. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, March 6, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Pete Elizardo as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are David C. Salazar, Nathan Castaneda, JohnPaul Martinez, Zachary Valverde, Russell Ramos, and Justin Garza.
Honorary pallbearers are all her nieces and nephews.
