BEEVILLE – Roberto “Robbie” Hernandez, Jr, 42, passed away on December 21, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on October 5, 1980, in Beeville, Texas to Robert and Senaida (Maldonado) Hernandez. He had worked as an automotive diesel mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Villafranco Hernandez; maternal grandparents, Frank B and Fermena Maldonado; paternal grandparents, Adan, and Estella Hernandez; father-in-law, Juan A. Lopez and brother-in-law, Charlie Gonzales.
He is survived by his spouse, Corina Villarreal of Corpus Christi; mother, Senaida Hernandez of Beeville; his children, Amber R. Villarreal of Corpus Christi, Annalisia Marie (Josh) Hernandez-Guerrero of San Antonio, Mariah N Villarreal (Joey) of Corpus Christi, John R Villarreal (Alyssa) of Corpus Christi, Robert “Trey” Hernandez, and Juliana Hernandez both of Beeville and Isaiah N.T. Hernandez (Jr) of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Benny, and Roland Hernandez both of Beeville. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Serving as pallbearers are Isaiah N.T. Hernandez (Jr), Gordo Estrada, Victor Maldonado, Phillip Martinez, Gabriel Hernandez, John Alfred Lopez, Damian Reyna, Christopher Hernandez, Albert Maldonado, Roy Trejo, and Arturo Martinez Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Juan Diego De La Cruz, Ray Garza, Joe Anthony Hernandez, and Justin Gaona.
