BEEVILLE – Ricardo Saul Salinas, 57, passed away on November 20, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 6, 1966, in Laredo, Texas to Roberto and Elodia (Flores) Salinas. He married San Juanita Lara in 1996 in Beeville, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and had retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Beeville.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roberto Salinas; one sister, Raquel Salinas Ramirez; paternal grandparents, Vicente, and Hortencia Salinas; maternal grandparents, Juan, and Isidra Flores; a nephew, Hector Salinas and his brother-in-law, Lazaro David Lara.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, San Juanita Lara; one son, Ricardo Salinas, Jr.; his mother, Elodia Salinas; three brothers, Roberto (Elizabeth) Salinas, Ruben (Rachel) Salinas and Vicente (Elizabeth) Salinas; one sister, Rosa Salinas; three granddaughters, Samantha, Elena, and Mia. He is also survived by his father and mother-in law, Lazaro, and Rosa Lara.
A visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Monday, November 27, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A holy rosary will be recited at 7 pm with Deacon Santos Jones reciting. A Rites of Christian service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 28, at Oak Park Memorial Chapel with Father R.J. Regalado officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at the San Fernando de Los Flores Cemetery in Goliad, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Salinas, John Amaya, Gregory Nicholson, Roberto Salinas, Vicente Salinas and Ricardo Salinas, Jr.
