Rev. Reyes Perez Rangel

BEEVILLE –Rev. Reyes Perez Rangel, 81, of Beeville, formerly of Moreno Valley, California, passed away on Feb. 19, 2023, in Beeville, Texas. He was born on March 7, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas to Roberto and Esperanza (Perez) Rangel. He married Celia Salas on July 5, 1964, in California. He had previously worked in the HVAC business and was an ordained minister for several years.

     He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Rudy, and Ruben Rangel.

     He is survived by his wife, Celia S. Rangel of Beeville; his children, Sam (Irene) Rangel of Lake Elsinore, California, Anna Rangel of Carona, California, Joel Rangel of Beeville, Texas and Jaime (Yvonne) Rangel of Riverside, California; one brother, Roger (Mary) Rangel of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Becky (Joaquin) Hurtado and Ruth (Daniel) Torres both of South Gate, California and Gloria (John) Tateyama of Fresno, California. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 23, at New Hope Christian Church, 301 FM 351 in Beeville, with Pastor Salvador Rincon officiating.
