Ray Cuellar, Jr.

Ray Cuellar, Jr., 83, passed away on January 6, 2026, at his residence. He was born on December 20, 1942, in Clareville, Texas to Reyes and Guadalupe (Hinojosa) Cuellar. He married Sylvia Sanchez on March 22, 1963. He was a retired automotive mechanic.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Reyes and Guadalupe H. Cuellar; his wife, Sylvia S. Cuellar and two sisters, Maria Oralia Chavarria and Estella Cardenas.

He is survived by one son, Bobby (Judy) Cuellar of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Sandy Hernandez of Buda, Texas and Sheri (Chris) Shea of Harrison, Arkansas; three sisters, Elda Corona, Idolina “Ida” C. Torres and Rosalinda (Rosa) Mott. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 8am on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10am with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Clareville, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Javier Cardenas, Dustin Cuellar, Jaime Cardenas, Juan Cardenas, Lupe Cuellar, Jerome Tapia and Ruben Sanchez.
