Raquel Rodriguez

BEEVILLE – Raquel Rodriguez, 76, passed away on September 19, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1945, in Beeville, Texas to Victor and Elodia (Trevino) Rodriguez. She was a retired beautician.

     She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Alice Garza; two brothers, Victor “Boy” Rodriguez, and David Rodriguez and two sisters, Linda, and Rosa Amelia Rodriguez.

     She is survived by her loving partner of 25 years, Danny Zapata; three daughters, Gracie (Albert) Escamilla, Debbie Garza, and Belle (Ruben) Herrera; one son, Marty (Sarah) Garza; one brother, Roland (Norma) Rodriguez; four sisters, Rosie Sauceda, Nora (David) Garcia, Carol (Rudy) Flores and Becky (Sammy) Salazar. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

     Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A holy rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 23, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

     Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Flores, John David Flores, Christopher Villarreal, Jerome Villarreal, David O. Rodriguez, Jr and David Garcia III.
