Rafael M. Estrella Obituary

BEEVILLE – Rafael M. Estrella, Jr., 56, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was born on October 21, 1966, in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Rafael and Mary (Martinez) Estrella. He had worked in the oilfield industry.


     He is survived by his life partner, Elisa P. Puga of Beeville; two daughters, Brenda (David) Ybanez and Bianca Puga both of Beeville; two brothers, Roger Estrella, and Jaime Martinez both of Corpus Christi and one sister, Gloria Jimenez of San Antonio. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Brandon M. Villarreal, and Rebecca Ybanez.


     A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Monday, Sept. 25, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Pettus Cemetery.


    Serving as pallbearers are David Lee Ybanez, Brandon M. Villarreal, Ernesto Cruz Jr., David Garcia, Juan Phillips and George Pena.
