Paula Cantu Carrillo

BEEVILLE – Paula Cantu Carrillo, 60, passed away on Feb. 17, 2022. She was born on July 19, 1961, in Simmons, Texas to Samuel and Paula (Colunga) Cantu. She married Sylvestre Carrillo on Dec. 6, 1981. She had worked as a clerk in the retail business.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Paula Cantu; her husband, Sylvestre Carrillo and one sister and brother-in-law, Adelina and Robert Ybanez.

      She is survived by one son, Jose Guadalupe “PePe” Carrillo of Beeville; two daughters, Juanita “Jay” (Stephanie) Carrillo of Beeville and Donna Cantu-Trujillo of Iowa; two grandchildren, Richard James Trujillo and Audrey Gutierrez; two brothers, Samuel D. (Paula) Cantu of Corpus Christi and David M. (Bessie) Cantu of George West; sisters, Juanita (Jose) Ganderia of Mathis, Magelan (Robert) Smejkal of Victoria, Consuelo C. (Anselmo) Alaniz of George West, Diane C. (Jim) Scott of Vermont and Nelda C. Cantu of George West.

     Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Thursday, Feb. 24, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Cremation services will follow.
