Patrick Joseph Hattersley of Beeville, Texas passed away on June 24, 2026, surrounded by his family.  He was born on August 28, 1950, in Long Beach, California to John & JoAnn Hattersley. They moved to Portland, Texas where he grew up and graduated from Gregory Portland High School in 1968.  Following graduation Pat went to work for M & M Sales Company as a warehouse stocker and later moved to supervisor.  He was promoted to an outside salesperson in 1977.  M & M Sales was sold to White Swan, Inc in 1988. It was with White Swan that Pat was awarded Salesperson of the Month on several occasions and Salesperson of the Year in 1991 and the Ring of Excellence in Sales in 1992.  He then worked for Ben E. Keith Foods and Sysco Foods until he retired in 2015.

While raising his 3 children, Pat was very involved in their sports activities.  He enjoyed coaching whatever sports they were participating in.  In 1979 he was an integral part of starting the Gregory Portland Soccer Association where he worked tirelessly building out the fields for play and then served on the Board of Directors and as a referee for the league.  He was recognized in 1999 as a founder and for his dedication and commitment to the league.  Pat also loved hunting, fishing and especially playing golf.  After retiring you could find him at the Beeville Country Club playing golf with his wife Julie and their many friends. 

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Sandra Bailey, Jacque Sanders and Nan Beck, as well as his brothers; Mike Hattersley, Harold Hattersley and Kevin Hattersley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Julie Hattersley of Beeville, Texas; his children Paige (Brandt) Smith of Portland, Texas, Shane (Mary) Hattersley of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jamie (Lily) Hattersley of Austin, Texas; sister Mary Howard of Beeville, Texas; Grandchildren; Zach Smith, Zane Smith, Zarek Smith, Lauren Gilmore, Kenneth Hattersley, Mitchel Hattersley, Justin Hattersley, and Kevin Hattersley; along with 12 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 2-4 pm at the Beeville Country Club in Beeville Texas.
