Obituary

TYNAN – Marjorie Ann Jostes, 92, passed away on December 26, 2022. She was born in the Olmos Community, in Bee County, Texas, on August 20, 1930, to the late Herman and Selma (Trlica) Sliva. She married Arlen Jostes on August 25, 1949, in Beeville, Texas.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arlen Jostes; one brother, one sister and a daughter-in-law.

     She is survived by two sons, Glenn C. Jostes of Tynan, and Gary (Linda) Jostes of Mathis; one daughter, Gayle (Billy) Schmidt of Richmond; three sisters, Dorothy Hancock of Hobson, Peggy Gannon of Austin, and Sharon McDonald of Beeville. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

     A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, Dec. 30, at the Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan, Texas with Rev. Keith Leeper officiating.

     Serving as pallbearers are Eric Briley, Clay Jostes, Casey Schmidt, Kasey Doggett, Kyle Jostes, and Ashton Salge.

     In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the South Texas Children’s Home Ministries Fund, P.O. Box 1210, Beeville, TX 78104-1210.
