Obituary
BEEVILLE – Mariano M. Munoz, 83, passed away on March 10, 2023. He was born on April 27, 1939, in Mathis, Texas to Lucio and Jacinta (Maldonado) Munoz. He married Anita Ruiz in July of 2018 in Beeville, Texas. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Munoz; one son, Mariano Munoz, Jr; sister, Modesta Perez; two brothers, Alfonso and Jesus Munoz and one great grandson, DJ Johnson.
He is survived by his spouse, Anita Ruiz; one son, San Martin (Elsa) Munoz; and one daughter, Elly (Michael) Hernandez. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, March 14, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, March 15, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville Community.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Hernandez, Mike Hernandez, Jr., Ellis Johnson, Damien Hernandez, Martin Ruiz, Marcos Ruiz, Arturo Gaitan and Pam Gonzales.
