Lydia Cantu

BEEVILLE – Lydia Cantu, 71, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at her residence. She was born on November 25, 1950, in Pettus, Texas to Eugenio and Eloisa (Chavera) Gutierrez. She was a homemaker.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Enrique Cantu; two brothers, Eugene Gutierrez, Jr and Felipe Gutierrez; two daughters, Belinda, and Brenda Cantu and one grandson, Damion Perez.

     She is survived by three daughters, Bernice (Roman) Martinez, Patricha Cantu, and Amanda Puente all of Beeville; two sons, Enrique Cantu, Jr and Josef Garcia both of Beeville; three sisters, Carolina (Ernest) Lopez and Victoria Gutierrez both of Beeville and Esther (Willie) Martinez of Tuleta; grandchildren, Andrew Cantu, Max Vasquez, Abigail Vasquez, Joe Henry Tapia, Cierra Vasquez, Enrique Cantu III, Jaelynn Estrada, Roman Martinez III, Nydia Estrada, Brianna Martinez, Aricelly Estrada and Logan Estrada; great grandchildren, Hayden Cantu, Hailey Cantu, Alicia Vasquez, Emory Cuevas, Ava Vasquez, Elianna Cuevas and Max Xavier Vasquez.

     Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Monday, September 26, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Cremation services will follow.
