BEEVILLE – Lucia Garcia Garza, 90, passed away on March 27, 2023, in Beeville, Texas. She was born on February 14, 1933, in Skidmore, Texas to Elesio and Florentina (Villarreal) Garcia. She had worked as a home care provider.  

     She was preceded in death by her spouse, Teclo Garza, Sr; one son, Teclo Garza, Jr; her daughter, Linda Flores; four brothers, Arturo, Enrique, and Adolfo Camargo and Daniel Garcia; three sisters, Herminia Lara, Baudelia Hansen, and Lorenza Salinas.

     She is survived by six children, Teles (Sylvia) Flores, Fernando Flores and Amy (Gilbert) Gonzales all of Beeville, Eliseo “Cheo” (Diana) Flores of Mexico, Annie (Marcus) Cumpian and Adolfo (Kristan) Garza both of Beeville; one brother, Jose (Anita) Garcia of Beeville; three sisters, Dora (Pablo) Gonzales, Sara Gonzales, and Lupita Gonzales all of Skidmore. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and also  several stepchildren and step grandchildren.

     A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Thursday, March 30, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, March 31, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Fr. Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas.

     Serving as pallbearers are David Garza, Christopher Flores Hernandez, Sonny Flores, Jacob Cumpian, Joseph Cumpian, Gilbert Gonzales, Marcus Cumpian and Brian Theiss.

     Honorary pallbearers are Jazero Flores, Christopher Garcia, Bryce Gonzales, Manuel Leo Del Bosque, Julius Gonzales and AJ Garza.
