Louise Carolyn Lawson passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, December 16, 2023, at the age of 88. Louise had a heart valve replacement in 2011, which lasted longer than expected. She maintained a healthy diet with exercise then broke her hip on New Year’s Morning of 2020. She struggled with her lungs and heart and was at home resting with her son, John, his daughter, Lindsey and her loving husband, Bob, when she fell asleep and passed away gently while John was brushing her hair.
Louise was born on February 8, 1935, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Clarence “Leonard” Hale and Mary Louise Hale where she grew up with her brother Tom. She graduated from Indiana State University with a Masters Degree in Education and moved to Long Beach, California, where she met and fell in love with her husband of over 60 years. Bob and Louise loved and raised three kids in California and is survived by them, Laura, Leslie, and John. Louise was a school teacher, office manager and real estate agent while they raised three children and countless neighborhood friends.
After Bob retired, they moved to Beeville in 1991 and became active members of the Beeville community and church. Louise was the co-owner with Bob of B&L Water Well Drilling in Beeville, Texas, as she managed all of the office work. Louise loved tutoring young school children and volunteering at the Vineyard and her church. Louise always loved home remodeling projects and fixing up old houses.
Louise leaves behind her husband Bob, their children Laura, Leslie and John, grandchildren Ryan, Lindsey and Liliah, and great grandchildren Elijah and Adilenne.
Memorial Service will be held at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church, 715 N. Saint Mary’s Street, Beeville, Texas 78102, (361) 358-3227, on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. and feel free to call John at (361) 343-2518.
