Louis Noel Rodriguez, 53, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 12, 2021. He was born on July 11, 1968, in Alice, Texas to Domingo and Tillie Rodriguez.
Louis served in the US Army from February 7, 2002, to July 13, 2005. He served as a Specialist and Bradley Linebacker crew member and received a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and an Army Service Ribbon.
He later then received his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology through Tarleton State University in 2009 and started his Coaching/Teaching Career of basketball in Fort Worth, Texas. He spent his last year coaching at Coastal Bend College when he returned home to Beeville, Texas.
He was a warrior. He impacted many lives and mentored several children over the years, he gave and he made a difference.
He is survived by his parents Domingo and Tillie Rodriguez; his daughters Darian Jordan Rodriguez and fiancé Richard, Sela Bree (Rodriguez) Swayne and husband Joey; his grandson Landon Axle Swayne; his companion Melissa Sanchez; bonus daughters Phillena Garza and Sierra Trevino; his brothers Daniel Rodriguez and wife Tammy, Rene Rodriguez and partner Gretchen Murray; along with many nieces and a nephew.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Friday, Aug. 20, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm with Mr. Steve Perez officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas at a later date.
