Leroy Barrera, 58, passed away on May 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on April 17, 1967, in Beeville, Texas to Arturo C. and Herlinda (Herrera) Barrera. He worked in the construction industry.
He is preceded in death his father, Arturo Coronado Barrera; three brothers, Arturo “Gallo” Barrera, Franky Barrera and David Barrera; two nephews, Joe Moya Jr and David Barrera Jr; one niece, Clarice Jolee Barrera and one brother-in-law, Margarito “Pepe” Keller.
He is survived by his companion, Trish Cantu of Beeville; mother, Herlinda Herrera Barrera of Beeville; two sons, Angelo Zeppelin Barrera and Anthony Lee Barrera both of Beeville; five sisters, Belinda Barrera Moya of Kenner, Louisiana, Anna (Donny) Deal, Dora (James) Moreno, Crystal (Bryan) Ramsey and Priscilla (Rey) Hernandez all of Beeville and one brother, Joseph Barrera of Beeville.
Visitation will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 27, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.
Serving as pallbearers are Angelo Barrera, Anthony Barrera, Joseph Barrera, Roman Mancias, Teles Gomez, Jr, Ray Rivas, Rene Contreras, Michelle Lerma and Robert Garcia.
Honorary pallbearers are Victor Hernandez, Fernando Rivas, Donny Deal, Bryan Ramsey, James Moreno, Rey Hernandez, Joe Blake Kohlman and Narcisso “Lao” Trevino.
