In loving memory of Juan Antonio Cantu, who passed away on January 7, 2026. He was born on September 2, 1953. Juan was a devoted husband, father, and above all, a deeply loving grandfather whose presence shaped the lives of everyone who knew him. Juan was born and raised in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was a faithful and devoted Jehovah’s Witness, a role that guided his life, values, and the way he treated others. His faith was not only something he practiced, but something he lived daily through kindness, humility, and service to his family and community. Juan was a hardworking man, known for his work ethic, determination, and responsibility, yet he carried that strength with warmth and love. Juan devoted a great deal of his life to his family, always making time for those he loved most. He believed deeply in togetherness, presence and creating meaningful memories. Juan was also a successful entrepreneur, owning a construction company for 50+ years and even opening a restaurant business many years ago with his wife in George West, Texas. Juan was a loving husband to Rosa Cantu and a proud father to Anahi, April, Oscar, Graciela and his precious joy Roxanne Cantu, along with other beloved children. His heart grew even fuller as a grandfather to Annabelle Buckmaster, Anae Cantu, Yzabelle Cantu, Madeline Guzman, Myla Cantu, and Marco Cantu, as well as endless grandchildren who brought him immense pride, laughter, and purpose. Being a grandfather was one of his greatest honors, and his love for his family extended across generations. Those who knew Juan knew a man who could work hard and love just as hard. He had a thoughtful spirit, a caring heart, and a presence that made others feel safe and valued. Words truly are not enough to explain how wonderful he was. Our hearts are deeply wounded by his absence, and his passing has left a space that can never be filled. Yet his legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave so freely, and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. A private ceremony was held at an undisclosed time to honor his life. Juan Antonio Cantu will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
