BEEVILLE – Josephine (Josie) Moron Campbell, 63, loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2024, surrounded by her family, after an 11 year battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1960, in Beeville, Texas to Francisco and Cecilia (Elizalde) Moron. She had worked as a home care provider.
She is preceded in death by her loving companion, Frankie “Hunee” Barrera; father, Francisco G. Moron; mother, Cecelia E. Moron; sister, San Juanita Moron; brother-in-law, Alberto Baldillez; nephews, Orlando Roel Moron and Joshua James Moron and her cousin, Martha “Doggy” Chavarria.
She is survived by her daughters, Freedom Valdez (Rick) of Beeville and Chastity Campbell of Warner Robins, Georgia; one son, Kimo Mondragon (Samantha) of Corpus Christi, Texas; her pet companions, Bella and Daisy Campbell; grandsons, Adarius JaCorey Chaisson of Warner Robins, Georgia and Sean Mondragon and Kameron Mondragon of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughters, Kaleigh Mondragon and Kimora Mondragon of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandson pet, Gio Fonseca; two loving brothers, Jose Angel Moron and James Moron; her sister and loving caregiver and confidant, Juanita Baldillez; three nieces, Jessica (Xavier) Arrisola, Erica Baldillez and Jahna (Fabian) Villarreal; one nephew, Michael Morone; two great nieces, Demi Rincon (Robert) and Kaycee Cecilia Villarreal; five great nephews, Paul Gonzales (Rei), Gabriel “Dos” Valdez, Albert Rodriguez, Derek Delgado and Fabian Villarreal; one great great nephew, Rashan Jace Rodriguez and one great great niece, Anastasia Everly Gonzales.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. "Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear" Always on our mind... Forever in our hearts.
