Jolynn Soliz Obituary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Jolynn Soliz, aged 56, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2025. Born on February 27, 1968, in Beeville, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Gloria Smith and Joe Ramirez.

Throughout her life, Jolynn embraced numerous significant roles, including those of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and granddaughter. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she devoted her time and love to them. One of Jolynn's most admirable qualities was her unwavering faith in the Lord, which provided her with immense strength during her battle with cancer. Her courage and determination to face each day were truly inspiring.

Jolynn was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph Anthony Arismendez and Ysidro Arismendez IV; her maternal great-grandparents, Benito and Delfina Cantu, and Damicio and Vienna Ramirez; as well as her aunt, Beatrice Cantu, and uncle, Benito Cantu Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ernesto Soliz Jr., and their children: Krislynn (Joaquin) Mendoza of Georgetown Tx, Misti Arismendez (Tj Pfannstiel) of Corpus Christi, Tx, Eric (Margaret) Arismendez of Portland, Tx, Erica Soliz and Ernesto Soliz III of Victoria, Tx. Her parents, Gloria Smith and Joe Ramirez: her in laws, Dalia Herrera, Ernesto G. Soliz along with her sisters Debbie (Bobby) Del Bosque, Becky (Jesse) Garcia, and brother JoeAlbert (Priscilla) Ramirez, also survived Jolynn’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Nyah Arismendez, Sid (Cinco) Arismendez V, Brooklyn Arismendez, Alexander Rangel, Antonio Cruces Jr., Anton Cruces (Grandma's Papi), Aubrei JoLynn Cruces, Ezekiel Villegas, Ariel Villegas, Esmeralda Arismendez, Joseph Arismendez, Eric Arismendez Jr. (Bubba), Audrey Arismendez, Avery Arismendez, Isaiah Arismendez and Kristopher Steven Garza Jr. Additionally, she is survived by great-grandchildren Jessidee Rodriguez and Baby Rangel, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

To commemorate the life of Jolynn Soliz, a celebration of life will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:00 pm led by Rev. Salvador Rincon at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 3 pm. A funeral service will follow at Oak Park Memorial at 10 am on Friday, January 31, 2025. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Beeville, Texas.

Pallbearers will include Eric Arismendez Sr., Alexander Rangel, Anton Cruces, Joe Albert Ramirez, Ezekiel Villegas, and Tj Pfannstiel. 

Honorary pallbearers are Joaquin Mendoza, Sid “Cinco” Arismendez V, Eric “Bubba” Arismendez Jr., Isaiah Arismendez, Antonio Cruces and Joseph Arismendez.
