Joe Richard Garza Obituary

 

BEEVILLE - Joe Richard Garza, 41, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Beeville, Texas on May 26, 1981, to Mary Ann Garza and Guadalupe Chapa, Jr. He enjoyed listening to Spanish music and his laughter would light up the room wherever he was at. He was loved by everyone that he met, and he will be dearly missed.


     He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pablo Garza, Soveida Cardenas, Guadalupe and Tina Chapa and one brother, Joe Ray Lopez.


     He is survived by his parents, Mary Ann and Richard Garcia of Beeville and Guadalupe (Sylvia Lara) Chapa of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Jessie (Sonya) Garza of Beeville and Guadalupe Chapa III of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Nickie (Alfredo) Benavidez of Beeville and Rachel Chapa of Corpus Christi; three aunts, Dominga Moron, Sara Garza, Romana Carabajal and one uncle; Pablo Garza, Jr. He is also survived by five nephews, Daren Benavidez, Alfredo Benavidez, Christopher Garza, Ezekiel Lopez, and Javier Lopez and three nieces, Jessica Garza, Kateri Cirone and Mea Lopez.


     A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm by Deacon Santos Jones. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Gonzales as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.


     Serving as pallbearers are Daren Benavidez, Christopher Garza, Alfredo Benavidez, Ezekiel Lopez, Carlos Moron and Blake McMahon.


     Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Lopez, Santiago Sanchez Jr., Jayse Cirone, Jeremiah Munoz, Jonathon Munoz, Ezra DeLeon and Weston McMahon.
