TULETA – Jason Gonzales, 48, of Tuleta, passed away on January 28, 2023, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on August 9, 1974, in Beeville, Texas to Frank R. and Elida (Baldillez) Gonzales. He had worked in the oilfield industry and served on the Pettus-Tuleta Volunteer Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank R. Gonzales; paternal grandparents, Francisco and Longina Gonzales and his maternal grandparents, Julian and Bence Baldillez.
He is survived by his spouse, Frances Gonzales of Tuleta; one stepdaughter, Marissa Anna Carrizales of Tuleta; mother, Elida B. Gonzales of Beeville; one sister, Carol Gonzales of Beeville and three brothers, Bobby (Grasiela) Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, and Frank Gonzales III all of Beeville.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. The body of Mr. Gonzales will lie in repose at 9 am on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pettus, Texas. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am with Fr. Jacob Valayath serving as celebrant. A burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 in Beeville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Priscilla Garcia, Abel Garcia, Adan Coronado, Benny Gonzales, Johnny Joe Gutierrez, Richard Gomez and Travis Gomez.
