It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Irma Lee Trevino, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 59.
Irma was born on June 19, 1965, in Beeville, Texas to Luis and Alicia Trevino.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Deacon Luis Trevino.
She is survived by her mother, Alicia Trevino, her sister, Ruby (Derrick) Truett, her brother, Robert Trevino, nephews and nieces, Zachary, Sahriah, Aaliyah and Stephen.
Over the years, Irma has also "adopted" many good friends as family (sisters, brothers, nephews and nieces); though there are too many to list, you all know who you are.
Irma was a Respiratory Therapist, ER Nurse and Instructor of nursing at various schools. Most recently, she was a PCT Instructor at A.C. Jones High School, where she taught Seniors on how to prepare to be a nurse. She loved all the kids she taught and spoke of them so proudly to anyone who would listen.
Irma loved life; she was a beautiful person inside and out; she had such a loving big heart, she was an inspiration to many, compassionate and always looking out for everyone else.
Per Irma's request, she will be cremated; however, there will be a Rosary and Mass in her honor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 9:00am with a rosary following at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am. Rest in peace, sweet Irma.
OAK PARK MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL
God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
so He put His arms around you
and whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we love you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
