With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Guadalupe (Lupita) Zavala Ramirez Treviño, age 93, of Beeville, Texas. Lupita breathed her last breath on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at her home. She leaves this earthly home as she enters her Heavenly home with all her loved ones. Lupita, better known as Momo/Momoy, was born on September 18, 1931, along the San Antonio River in Riverdale, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Ramirez and Tomasa Zavala. Her husband, Pedro Treviño (52 years of marriage), her son, Daniel Ramirez (Yolanda Ortiz) and son-in-law, Cipriano Gonzales. Her Brothers: Francisco (Paula) and Armando (Marge) Ramirez, her sisters: Teresa Ontiveros, Maria R. (Joe) Enriquez, Mariana (Simon) Marroquin and Susana (Benjamin) Garza. Adopted parents, great-grandmother, Faustina Zavala, grandmother, Francisca (Tia Pancha), Tia Nico and Domingo Munoz, Beatrice and Enrique Moreno, Tio Juan and Macinema Zavala, and Tio Lonicio and Manuela Zavala, Tia Fermina (also known as Tia Quata) and Francisco (Tio Pancho) Maldonado, who were relatives that were very important in her life.
She left behind her greatest treasures, her three children, Estella Gonzales (Joseph Palczewski) of Beeville, Pedro (Pete) Rose Marie (Garcia) Treviño of Freer and Jose (+Kathy Haans) Treviño of Beeville; eight grandchildren, Linda Mae (Victor) Gomez, Jeannette (Carlos) Gonzales (San Antonio), Clarissa Gonzales (Houston), Albert Anthony Gonzales, Julianne M. Magninal (Cuero), Peter Joseph (Lisa)Treviño (Laredo), Matthew Aaron (Lily) Trevino (Houston), Nicole (Chris) Clarki (St. Louis, Missouri) and Joshua (Hannah) Treviño of Corpus Christi: sixteen great-grandchildren: Benjamin Gomez, Matthew Gomez, Angelica (Alfredo) Gutierrez, Sabrina Ann, Katarina Maria Gonzales, Laylanny Gonzales, Pierce Cisneros, Storm Cisneros, Elizabeth Lytle, Joey Lytle, Daleigha, Alexa, Alivia, Annika, Matthew Asher and Aaron Beau Treviño: two great- great- grandsons: Oliver Gomez and Arlow Alfredo Gutierrez
Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Carlos Gonzales, Albert Gonzales, P.J. Treviño, Matthew Trevino, Joey Lytle and Robert Treviño.
