Gloria Gaytan Cantu

Gloria Gaytan Cantu, 77, passed away on January 6, 2026, in Pearland, Texas. She was born on December 20, 1948, in Matamoros, Mexico to Abraham and Gloria (Cantu) Gayton. She married Leonte T. Cantu on September 5, 1965. She was a retired accountant.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two siblings and one son, Juan A. Cantu and daughter-in-law, Gracie Cantu.

She is survived by her husband, Leonte T. Cantu and her children, Rose (Jesse) Dominguez, Roberto (Rosa) Cantu, Ruben (Sandra) Cantu, Ymelda “Melly” Cantu, Maria Jones and Leonte Cantu, Jr; grandchildren, Gloria Cantu, Yesenia Cantu, Mya Young, Galilea Young, Steven Dominguez, Klarissa Dominguez, Robert Cantu, Jr, Rebecca Cantu and Ricardo Cantu, Sara Cantu, Alex Cantu, Alexi Jones, Andrew Cantu and Arianna Cantu. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and 9 siblings.

Visitation will be held at 8 am on Monday, January 12, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10 am with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Yesenia Cantu, Steven Dominguez, Ricardo Cantu, Alex Cantu, Alexi Jones and Andrew Cantu.
