Genoveva Silva Obituary

BEEVILLE – Genoveva (Cuellar) Silva was born in Harlingen, Texas to Seferino Cuellar and Vicenta Garcia Cuellar. She married Guadalupe I. Silva on May 31, 1944 in Raymondville, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Silva; son, David Silva; daughter, Modesta “Moe” Stecker (Larry Stecker); grandson, David Rusell Weeks; her parents, Seferino and Vicenta Cuellar; sisters, Rosa Cuellar Martinez, Marcelia Cuellar; brothers, Damian Cuellar, Fred Cuellar, Daniel Cuellar, Maximilliano Cuellar, Raymond Cuellar and Pedro Cuellar.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicenta “Vickie” Maier (Gary Maier)  of Beeville; eight grandchildren, Lori Ann Campos,Kevin McKenna (Diana McKenna), Candy McKenna Estrada (Aaron Estrada), Missi Stecker, Melanie Stecker Fugate (Nathan Fugate), David Silva Jr., Corina Silva Flores and David Abraham Silva (DonAngelica Silva); 24 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Wednesday, Mar. 17, 2021 at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. The body of Mrs. Silva will lie in repose at 9 am on Thursday, Mar. 18, at Our Lady of Victory Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am with Fr. Luke officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oakville Cemetery in Oakville, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Mckenna, Robert Gonzales, Roland Campos, Ramsey Gonzales, Darian Estrada, Aaron Estrada and Nathan Fugate. Honorary pallbearers are Aric Garcia, Waylen Fugate, Jace Estrada and Nathan Lopez.
