Genevieve A. Gomez, 66, passed away on July 31, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 21, 1958, in Beeville, Texas to Genoveva A Moreno and Joe T. Gomez. She was an A.C. Jones High School graduate and later received an AAS Degree from Bee County College in Dietary Management. She had previously worked for multiple establishments during her food service management career. She later worked and retired as a home health provider.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Genoveva A. Moreno and Jose T. Gomez; two sons, Gabriel Rey Gomez and Joe Alexander Ramirez; five sisters, Frances Moreno, Melba M. Martinez, Laura Moreno, Melinda M. Barnett and Dora Moreno; three brothers, Rudy Gomez, Antonio Gomez and Ruben Gomez.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Anthony (Esperanza) Ramirez of George West and Orlando J. Diaz of Beeville; brother, Joe Richard (Margarita) Gomez of San Antonio; two sisters, Rosie Jane (Joe) Torres of Oklahoma City, OK and Lucille (Lucy) M. Gonzales of Beeville; stepsister, Maria Salinas Miller of Ohio; four grandchildren, Marina R. Perez (Devin McNeil), Casandra J. Ramirez, Joe Anthony Ramirez, Jr and Joe Adam Ramirez. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Skylar Emilia Ramirez and Theodore L. McNeil.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Monday, August 5, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7pm with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum reciting. Cremation services will follow.
