Eva Salinas Salazar

Eva Salinas Salazar “Momo”, passed away on January 22, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 21, 1942, in Mineral, Texas to Lorenzo and Victoria (Carabajal) Salinas.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and last but not least, a beautician for 50 plus years. She lit up every room she walked into and was always the life of the party. Always ready to dance whenever and with whomever. She touched many souls in her 84 years of life. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Christobal G. Salazar; her parents, Lorenzo and Victoria Salinas; two sons, Chris “BeBe” Salazar and Lee A. (Lolly) Salazar; her two sisters, Lupita Garcia and Juanita Alvarado and one brother, Isidro Salinas.

She is survived by her partner, Joaquin Landin; one son, David R. Salazar (Camille); and one daughter, Annette V. Salazar (Roland Ybarra); her grandchildren, Logan Olivares, Chris Lee Salazar, Lisa Salazar, Angela Salazar, Kimberly Gonzales, Samantha Salazar, Christiana Salazar and Chyan Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Caylee Salazar, Jeremiah Rocha, Julius Rocha, Alena Salazar and Ava Rocha; her siblings, Lorenzo Salinas, Jr., Enrique Salinas (Angie), Avelicia Longoria (Johnny), Yolanda Garcia (Marcelino) and Sally Gonzales (Joe) and her sister-in-law, Pauline Salinas.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, Jan. 29, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Jacob Valayath as celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Serving as pallbearers are Chris Lee Salazar, Logan Olivares, Rey Alvarado, Johnny B. Longoria, Jacob Morin, Aaron Gonzales, JoJo Gonzales, Jon Garcia, Adrian Gomez and Ruben Alvarado. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny M. Longoria, Joe Gonzales, Marcelino Garcia, Jaron Kristopher Longoria and Victor Salazar.
