Esteban Puentes passed away surrounded by his loving family in Beeville, Texas on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was 87. Esteban was born on April 12, 1937, in Realitos, Texas to Esteban and Maria (Silvas) Puentes. He married Elvira Suniga on July 22, 1956.
He grew up most of his life working as much as possible so he could spend his time doing what he enjoyed, and that was being a cowboy. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandparents; one, daughter, Linda Marie Puentes and numerous brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Jose Esteban Puentes of Skidmore; two daughters, Rebecca (Daniel) Gonzales and Bitsy (Benny, Jr) Chavarria both of Skidmore; four grandchildren, Linda Gutierrez (Dylan Rakowitz) of Beeville, Cindi (John) Ramirez and Clarissa Chavarria both of Skidmore and Joseph Chavarria (Denise Solis) of Mineral; three great grandchildren, Natalie Ramirez, Riley Gutierrez and Mia Chavarria.
