It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eidan "Danny" O. Cano Sr. on October 12,2024 at the age of 65. Danny was born on October 13, 1958, in Beeville, Texas to Eufemia and Gregorio Cano, Sr.
Danny was a cherished person known for his generous, caring, and loving personality. He lived a life full of laughter with his precious grandchildren and rich with love alongside his beautiful wife (Louisa) of 25 years.
He worked several years in the construction industry, a trade he learned from his father. Danny served as a mentor not only to his sons but to many others who looked up to him. His legacy will be carried on for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eufemia and Gregorio Cano, Sr., his brother Louis Rodriguez and his sister Biolanda Garcia.
He is survived by his wife Louisa "Wicha" Cano; three sons; Eidan Cano Jr., Dustin G. Cano (Donna), Daniel P. Cano (Luisa), Six brothers; Gregorio Cano Sr. (Berta), Omar Cano Sr., Miguel Cano, Sr. (Estella), Noel Cano, Sr., Prajedes Rodriguez Jr., Feliciano Cano, Sr. (Estrella) and his eight sisters; Debra Benitez (Mario), Eufemia Benitez (Ramiro), Virginia Caballero (Mike), Margarita Moreno, Rose Marie Arredondo, Elidora Garza, Baudelia Guerra, and Maria Pacheco; his grandchildren, Danin Paul Cano, Ella Coraline Cano, and Dustin Antonio Cano.
Danny enjoyed fishing, gambling, and most of all was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan. He traveled to several Superbowl games in his 49ers gear to cheer for his team. This year he will have the best seat ever looking down from Heaven.
His departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we will find comfort in the memories and everlasting love that we shared with him.
A visitation will be held from 4-8pm, with a Rosary at 7pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10am. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
