Deborah Maisel Obituary

Deborah “Debbie” Maisel passed away into her eternal rest at the age of 75 on February 8, 2025. Debbie was born to Eugene Stevenson and Imogene Maloy on January 31, 1950, in Weslaco, Texas. She attended and was a 1968 graduate of AC Jones High School. A few years later she married the love of her life Gary Maisel in 1972.

Debbie was the definition of love. She gave her all to her family and friends and loved them deeply. She loved family gatherings, especially seeing all her great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.  She often made her hot rolls for others to enjoy. She had the most beautiful smile for everyone. She was a devout Christian with a heart to prove it. Debbie never met a stranger and was always the first to help or volunteer. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and the Honey Bees, worked for many years at Meyer Motor Parts, and retired from the State of Texas after over 20 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; second father, Lee Meyer; brother, Curtis Stevenson, and great granddaughter, Eliana Garcia.

Those left to continue her legacy and cherish her memories are her daughter, Ashley Alonzo (Harold) and her son, Joshua Maisel (Valerie) both of Beeville; her step son, Alex Lindstrom (Lori) of Kelseyville, California; grandchildren, MacKenzie DeLaGarza (Matthew Coffeen), MacKayla Maldonado (Jarren Jaramillo), Kaleb Villarreal (Lana Garcia), Kyndall Maisel (Joseph Constante), Morghan Gallagher (Jarrett Cano), Sierra Gallagher (Tony Velasquez), and AJ Garcia; great grandchildren, Rylee Coffen, Jett Jaramillo, Jayla Jaramillo, Bryson Maisel, Jayden Constante, Mia Constante and Alana Cano all of Beeville; her twin brother, David Stevenson (Julie) of Sandia; sister in law, Annette Stevenson of Georgetown and numerous nieces, nephews, family and close friends that are like family.

Visitation with family will be held at Bible Baptist Church on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 1 -2 pm. A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will begin at 2pm. The family would like to thank all that have offered condolences, love, and support during this tremendously difficult time.
