David L. Bivens

Mr. David L. Bivens “Dave”, age 51, passed away on October 29, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was born on November 11, 1970, in Sinton, Texas to the late David A. Bivens and Sharon Bivens McDonald.  He was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Bivens McDonald of Beeville; one daughter, Kirsten Marie Bivens of Orange Grove; former wife, Robin Fuller-Lewis of Orange Grove; his sister Lynette Beasley of College Station and her husband Jason; a nephew Kyle Beasley and one niece Kelsey Beasley.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and camping.  He also took great pride in his woodworking abilities.  He was employed by several oil and gas related companies with the most recent being Welder Exploration.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, from 5-7 pm at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel.  The funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, November 3, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Stowe officiating.  Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Beasley, Kyle Beasley, Austin Danforth, Carl Lockett, Billy Schmidt, and Terry Sliva.
