Mrs. Cynthia Ann Ortiz Handly, 65, of Beeville, Texas, known by her family as Mimi passed away on September 8th, 2025. She was born on May 23, 1960, to the late Pete and Frances Ortiz.
Cyndi grew up in Beeville, Texas and graduated from A.C. Jones High School class of 1978. Cyndi then dedicated more than 30 years of service to BISD, where she touched the lives of countless colleagues. She will be remembered for her work ethic, compassion, and the love she poured into her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Frances Ortiz; her brothers, Ron Ortiz and Michael Ortiz Sr; and her granddaughter Alyssa Flores.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Keith Handly; her son, Ryan (Anna Lisa) Flores, and her daughter, Valerie (Nicholas) Hinojosa. She is also survived by her brother, Edward (Patsy) Ortiz; her sister-in-law, Janie Ortiz; her five beloved grandchildren, Addie Mae Flores, Mable Ann Flores, Derek Hinojosa, Zaelah Hinojosa, and Trevor Hinojosa and many nieces and nephews.
Cyndi was a member of El Buen Pastor Baptist Church, where she devoted her time to serving God and her family with unwavering love and dedication.
Visitation will be held from 3pm to 8pm on Monday September 15, 2025, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel, with a prayer service to begin at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at George West Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Flores, Edward Ortiz, Michael Ortiz Jr, Nicholas Hinojosa, Darron Miller and Bo Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Derek Hinojosa and Trevor Hinojosa.
Cyndi will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church. Her legacy of love, faith and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
