Crystal Star Benavidez, 40, passed away on May 29, 2024. She was born in Beeville, Texas on October 23, 1983, to Ysidra Soliz and Gerardo C. “Jerry” Benavides. She had worked at Ranch Hand and had also worked as a caregiver.
Crystal was a strong, loving and caring person. Her grandkids were her whole world, and she will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her son, Damian Guajardo; one brother, Gerardo C. “Baby Jerry” Benavidez, Jr and her grandparents, Mariano and Ramona Benavidez and Servando and Ysidra Soliz.
She is survived by three daughters, Mercedes (Brandon) Mack, Cheyenne Barrera, and Khloe Perez; two sons, Pablo (Tabitha) Salinas and Matthew Salinas; her mother, Ysidra Soliz; father, Gerardo C. “Jerry” (Monika) Benavidez; one sister, Angelica Marie (Richard) Alvarado; niece, Ashley Benavidez and nephew, Gerardo C. “Pookie” Benavidez; six grandchildren, Jason Salinas, Brandon Mack, Jr., Braylynn Mack, Mikael Salinas, Braydon C. Mack, and Peyton Salinas. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Wednesday, June 19, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 20 at Oak Park Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Salinas, Gerardo C. “Pookie” Benavidez, Brandon Mack, Joe Soliz, Jayden Campos and Richard Alvarado.
Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Lee Rivas, Brandon Mack, Jr., Braylynn Mack, and Braydon Mack.
