It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our Charles R. Manning Jr. He passed in the early morning hours of July 11th, 2024 in the comfort of his home and in the arms of his beloved wife of 38 years, Eva Manning. He will be missed dearly by his wife, children, and great grandchildren who loved him and were by his side during his last days. Charles Rufus Manning, Jr. was born on December 30th, 1942, in Dewitt County, Texas to Charles Rufus Manning, Sr. and Frances Mae Kanipe.
He was a respected and honorable attorney and was extremely loyal to his career and clients. He served Bee County for over 47 years. He was a man of many talents. He designed the blueprint of his home, created music for his grandchildren (many classical pieces), played the piano, and wrote articles for Mensa International High-IQ Society. He was a true genius with an IQ of 160. Not only was he a hardworking man, but also, a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Rufus Manning, Sr.; mother, Francis Mae Kanipe and one son, David Luis Ferrer.
He is survived and treasured by his wife, Eva Manning; son, Pete A. Ferrer; grandchildren, Roxanna Middleton (Ben), Patricia Ferrer, Antonio Ferrer and Addikin Ferrer. He is also survived by a son, Richard A.C. Manning (Kerri); grandchildren, Alexandra, Aden Manning, Ethan Manning, Isaac Manning; daughter, Heather A. Glew (Lawrence); grandchildren, Lloyd Glew (Bridgette), Lucas Glew (Arianna), Shawn Glew (Ora), Lance Glew (Amy), Jacob Glew (Alexis), Mariah Glew (Matthew), Nathaniel Glew and Nicholas Glew. Also survived by great grandchildren, Isabella, Alana, Milani, Brighton, Bryson, Ezzio, Chance, Aubrielle, Luna and Luciano.
