Celia S. Franco

San Antonio – Celia S. Franco, 90, formerly of Beeville, passed away on September 4, 2022. She was born on Dec. 31, 1931, to Manuel and Faustina (Lopez) Saenz in Goliad County. She married Israel Franco on Sept. 28, 1952, in Beeville, Texas. She had retired as door greeter for Wal-Mart Supercenter in Beeville, Texas.

     She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Sally Elizabeth Franco-Perez; two sisters, Estella Wilson, and Susana Gonzales and one brother, Emiliano Saenz.

     She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn (Mario) Osuna of San Antonio; one sister, Martha Adamez of Dallas; six grandchildren, Jason David Perez, Ashley (Lance) Frances Osuna and Adriel Franco (Kayla) Osuna all of San Antonio, Jerel Ray (Gina) Perez and Lisa Perez both of Austin and Justin Israel (Leslie) Perez of Austin; four great grandchildren, Presley Celia Perez, Israel Perez, Emily Nichole Bishop, and Carter Evelyn Osuna.

     Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A holy rosary will be recited at 7pm with Deacon Roger Rosenbaum officiating. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Our Lady of Victory Church with Fr. Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

     Serving as pallbearers are Jason Perez, Jerel Perez, Justin Perez, Adriel Osuna, Lance Bishop, and Israel Perez.
