Carol Jean Green (Dildine)

Carol Jean Green (Dildine), 76, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2026.

Carol was born in Wynne, Arkansas, on November 24, 1949, to Carl Dildine and Rachel Grantham Dildine. She was a proud graduate of Wynne High School, Class of 1967. After graduating, she joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and served honorably for several years.

Carol shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Vernon Green. She was the love of his life and the one who made him whole. Together they built a life and family grounded in loyalty, strength, and devotion.

She was the proud and loving mother of Charles Groothoff and wife Juanita, Michael Green, and Sherri Watson and her husband Jeff. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren — Mikey Green, Jacob Carr, Conner Carr, and Breanna Green — who were the light of her life and the continuation of her legacy.

Carol is survived by her sisters, Jeanette Barnett, Ann Branch (Ricky), and her brother Terry Dildine, all of Wynne, Arkansas, along with extended family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Dildine and Rachel Grantham Dildine ; her infant sister, Carolyn Ann Dildine; and her brother, Ricky Dildine. She is also reunited with her grandparents, J.F. and Annie Grantham, and William and Lettie Dildine. She is also preceded in death by her in-laws, Dora and Lorenzo Green.

Carol was known for her strength, her devotion to family, and the quiet but powerful way she loved those around her. Her presence brought comfort, her voice brought reassurance, and her love was constant and unconditional.

She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered, and forever cherished.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
