Braulia Cavazos Del Bosque, 88, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
She was born in Beeville, Texas to Luis and Tomasa Cavazos on April 15, 1935. In December of 1955, she married Jose S. Del Bosque and after a short time in Victoria, Texas, they made Beeville their home. Mom spent a lifetime dedicated to raising and caring for her family.
Braulia was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, June C. Del Bosque; her step-grandson Tony Ojeda III; her parents, eight sisters and seven brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Josie (Al) Hinojosa of Corpus Christi and Judy (Steve) Garza of Beeville; two sons, Joel Del Bosque, and Jason (Elsa) Del Bosque both of Beeville; a stepdaughter, Rachel (Tony) Ojeda of Beeville; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria Gutierrez of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Susanna (Santos) Del Bosque and Mary D. Olivares both of Beeville.
A visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A holy rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Pete Elizardo as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Joel Del Bosque, Jason Del Bosque, Steve Garza, Al Hinojosa III, Jose Hinojosa, Jr., Luis Hinojosa, Lalo Hinojosa, and Father Roberto Trevino.
Honorary pallbearers are Al Hinojosa, Jr., Joel Z. Del Bosque, Jr. and Santos Del Bosque, Jr., Marc Rodriguez and Mark Perez.
