Bobby Baltazar

Bobby Baltazar, 86, passed away on September 29, 2024, at his residence, after a lengthy battle with leukemia. He was born on December 24, 1937, in Beeville, Texas to Tomas and Domitila (Contreras) Baltazar. He married Maria Luisa Arredondo in Beeville, Texas on November 18, 1958. He was a longtime owner of Tom’s Furniture and Upholstery.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Domitila Baltazar; three brothers, Armando, Raymond and Tomas Baltazar and one sister, Amelia Fassold.

     He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Baltazar; one son, Edward Baltazar; his daughter, Jo Anna (Manuel) Soliz; one brother, Santiago Baltazar; two sisters, Josie Soliz and Dorothy (Weirleis) Flax. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

     A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4-8 pm at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Oak Park Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marcelo Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park Cemetery.

     Serving as pallbearers are Gabriel Soliz, Roberto Soliz, Sir Christian Zertuche, Rosendo Castilla, Richard Arredondo and Marcus Arredondo.
