Arthur Lynn Pieper Brooks, age 77 of Beeville, passed away peacefully in her family home, with her loved ones at her side, on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Lynn was born on February 15, 1947, in Beeville, Texas to Arthur B. E. and Robbie Beckom Pieper.
Lynn was a high school graduate from A.C. Jones High School in Beeville, class of 1965. Upon completion of high school, Lynn started her career of homemaking in Beeville; while some years later, she started motherhood in Rockport, where she raised her first-born beloved son, Wade. He and Lynn shared a love for animals as they had numerous cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and even a horse during his childhood. Throughout motherhood, she was very protective of Wade, even amidst his “wild times.” Lynn was a huge supporter in all his endeavors throughout his life which included fishing, hunting, and sports. Once Wade was grown, she proceeded to do it all over again with her long-awaited baby girl, Amanda, with whom she was very close. She remembers Lynn the most through their love for animals, favorite music and favorite movies. All of which they shared with one another to the very end. Lynn loved music so much that she and Amanda sang songs together, that Lynn wrote, and of course other known songs such as, “A Bushel and a Peck.” They made homemade movies together when Amanda was pretending to be on tv and threw snowballs at each other when it snowed. In 2008, Lynn moved back into her family home where she spent the rest of her life constantly surrounded by her loving family, both immediate and extended.
Lynn was proceeded in death by her parents, Arthur and Robbie Pieper; loving husband, Capt. Frank Brooks; and sister, Sandra Pieper Bishop.
She is survived by her children, Wade (Angela) Reese, Amanda (Marcus) Govella; grandchildren, Chasity, Brandon, Matthew, Jacob, Audree, Arianna; niece, Donna Gibson; great niece, Destiny (Jimmy Tapia) Martinez; great nephew, James (Jessica) Gibson; as well as numerous great, great nieces, nephews, family and friends to include her dear friend of 56 years, Edythe Hathcock-Caraway.
Her children, Wade and Amanda, would like to extend a special thank you to Jason Martinez, Brittany Martinez, Donna Gibson, and others for her caregiving, in her final years.
