On September 18th, Anne Mary Jones went to be with her Lord after a sudden illness. Anne was Born Anne Mary Thompson in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania on February 21st, 1946, to George and Martha (Wachter) Thompson. Anne moved to Beeville with her husband Ron and family in 1977.
Anne worked for the Beeville ISD for over twenty-five years. Anne was a very compassionate and caring person despite the challenges she faced. Anne also cared for her community, volunteering countless hours throughout the years.
Anne was a devoted wife, mother to her three sons and grandmother. Her son, Jimmy, was a severely handicapped child. Anne & Ron began to decorate their entire front yard with Christmas decorations, animated toys & colorful lights for the holiday season to bring some enjoyment to Jimmy’s life. They named it the North Pole. It soon became a community project & for 35 years hundreds of families brought their children to enjoy the North Pole.
Anne is preceded in death by her Husband of over fifty years, her parents, two brothers (Eddie and Jim Thompson), two sons (Shad and Jimmy Jones), and brother-in-law (Robert Bartlett).
